03 — THE BUILD

HOW I BUILD THEM

No factory spec sheet, just the stuff that annoyed me about every other mat I've played on. If a sample fails one of these, it never gets listed.

PREMIUM PRINT

Deep-black dye-sub printing. I reject any sheet that comes out washed or banded.

SMOOTH GAMEPLAY

Low-friction cloth surface — I shuffle on every sample before I sign it off.

ANTI-SLIP BASE

Textured natural rubber that stays locked to the table, even a wobbly LGS one.

TESTED AT LOCALS

Tournament-legal 60×35cm, and every design gets played on before it drops.

I email when a drop is close — dates, restocks and early access links. That's it. Runs are small, so the list usually gets there first.

I pack orders myself, usually within 1–2 business days. UK delivery takes 2–4 business days, Europe 4–8, and the rest of the world 7–15. Limited drops can take me up to 5 business days while the run is being produced. I email tracking as soon as it's posted.

Most mats are small numbered runs and then I retire them, so sold-out designs usually don't come back. If I do bring one back, my drop list and Instagram hear about it first.

Email support@grandmat.store — it comes straight to me and I reply within a business day, Monday to Friday. For events, prizing or wholesale, use events@grandmat.store.

Yes — drop your email on my list and I'll let you know when a drop is close, plus early access links. Unsubscribe from any email, no hard feelings.

Sometimes. I send mats to locals and regional organisers for prizing, and I run a giveaway around most drops. Email events@grandmat.store with your event size and date and I'll see what I can do.

HI, I'M CHRISTOPHER

I started making mats because the ones I was playing on at locals were awful — curled corners, sticky surfaces, prints that faded after a month. So I made the mat I wanted on my own table, and people at locals kept asking where I got it.

I test every design at locals before it drops. If it doesn't feel right for sleeve slides and fast shuffles, I don't ship it. I also pack and post every order myself, so if something's wrong you're emailing me, not a support desk.
